About the Inventor

Built from Experience. Designed for the Jobsite.

At just 16, I began working alongside my father, who owned a remodeling company. He was a true jack-of-all-trades — a carpenter, plumber, electrician, drywaller, and concrete worker. One thing that always stood out was how organized he kept his workspace. He’d build a sturdy sawhorse to hold his blueprints, water thermos, and tools — keeping everything off the ground and within reach.

But there was one recurring issue: at the end of each day, loading those bulky, heavy sawhorses back into the truck was a hassle. They took up too much space and were awkward to store.

Fast forward 15 years, I started my own construction company — and ran into the exact same problem. Traditional sawhorses hadn’t changed. They were still inconvenient to transport and store. If I left them overnight at a site, they’d often go missing. Tracking them down became part of the daily routine. I tried newer models, but they were either too short, couldn’t handle heavy loads, or wore out quickly.

That’s when I decided to create a better solution — the Gator Bite.

Designed for simplicity and strength, Gator Bite requires just a 2×4 cut to your desired length. It sets up fast, handles serious weight, and is built to last. It’s adjustable to different working heights and when the job’s done, it disassembles easily, saving space and eliminating hassle.

I’ve used Gator Bite on my own job sites for years and shared it with fellow professionals — all of whom have been highly satisfied. Their feedback and support inspired me to take the next step and patent the product.

Gator Bite was born from hands-on experience, real-world problems, and a drive to build something better.
